We are delighted to be hosting two training days for care staff in collaboration with the Somerset Health & Care Academy.
Choose from:
- Oliver McGowan: Build on your knowledge and understanding of the needs for autistic people and people with a learning disability. This is the Tier Two, all-day course, Tier One must be completed first.
- End-of-Life Care: Develop a compassionate understanding of end-of-life care principles (part day course, to be taken alongside BLS).
- Basic Life Support: Master the fundamentals of Basic Life Support with expert instruction.
This is a fully funded day, with free parking and lunch included. The RCPA are also pleased to be subsidising travel with £15 payable to the employer per learner (details will follow once booking has been confirmed).
You will have access to the Academy’s Learning Management System and catalogue of courses. Benefit from engaging and informative sessions led by experienced professionals. Connect with fellow social care staff and expand your professional network.

Please note that we have limited places available, and we will confirm your booking upon receipt via email. If we are unable to offer you a place, we will notify you via email and add you to a waiting list. You will be automatically added to the LMS, but this does not mean you have been allocated a place on the training day – please do not take an email re the LMS as confirmation of booking for the face-face training.
