Somerset Council’s Press release 10/2: https://www.somerset.gov.uk/news/government-confirms-council-tax-cap-will-remain-for-somerset-council/

The financial situation remains challenging, especially the impact this will have on any fee uplifts for providers. ‘Met with Somerset Council and ICB yesterday, anticipating end of Feb/March announcement to providers as the cabinet considers the implications and constraints.

We have been in touch with our local MP and planning a meeting with Gideon Amos, Lib Dem MP for Taunton, and Wellington. Any specific situations on service impact and the people you care for, if you can share (anonymised) would be very helpful, eg, to exemplify, the delays in announcements, inability to prepare business plans and expand, recruit and retain, quality, cost of living increases, servicing loans/mortgages etc

****We are also encouraging RCPA members to lobby their local MPs****
